Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of baby swimming with us! In a loving atmosphere, we encourage your baby's natural joy of movement and, at the same time, strengthen the trust between parent and child.

Baby swimming (4–12 months)

Toddler swimming (13–24 months)

Baby swimming is a gentle and playful way to promote your child's holistic development. In warm water, babies experience a new form of movement—they kick, glide, and explore their bodies naturally.

This not only strengthens the muscles, but also trains motor skills, coordination and balance – important foundations for later crawling, sitting and walking.

Whether it's splashing around, first water experiences, or cuddling together in the water – your child's well-being is our top priority. The intense closeness in the water strengthens the emotional bond between parent and child and creates trust and security.

Babies can participate as early as 12 weeks of age – because it's during the first few months that they are most open to new sensory impressions. While actual learning to swim comes later, early water familiarization provides a playful preparation.

Baby swimming can also be very helpful for premature babies or babies with motor disabilities. Our courses offer a loving, safe environment with qualified instruction and a great deal of empathy .

Organizational matters

Please bring the following items to the course:

  • Swimming trunks or swim diaper for your child

  • Swimwear and bathing shoes for the accompanying person

  • Bath towel for parents and child

On-site procedure

  • A private changing room has been reserved for our group. Please inquire at the ticket office.

  • A specially agreed entrance fee applies with the Drautalperle.

  • The duration of a course lesson is approximately 35 to 45 minutes in the water, depending on the group situation.

Course leader

Our experienced instructors will accompany you and your child competently and lovingly:

  • Sabine Göberndorfer – midwife, certified ABA baby swimming and toddler instructor

  • Edith Unterdorfer – pediatric nurse, certified ABA baby swim and toddler instructor

  • Bettina Thaler – pediatric nurse, trained baby swimming instructor

Underwater photo shoot - additional unit

 

There's an option to take underwater photos with a photographer in an extra session (9th session). The shoot is free of charge. Fees are calculated per image. Further information is available at:
